We'll keep this simple and honest. We built Campus Wallet for families, and we take your privacy seriously — especially when it comes to students. Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Who we are

Campus Wallet is a spending planning and tracking tool for college students and their parents. We're an independent product, not affiliated with any bank or financial institution.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to make the app work:

We do not connect to your bank. Campus Wallet is a manual tracking tool. We never ask for bank credentials, account numbers, or financial institution access. Everything in the app is entered by you.

How we use it

We use your information to:

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.

Students and parental consent

Campus Wallet is designed for college students — typically 18 or older. Student accounts are created through a parent-initiated invite flow, which means a parent has set up the account before a student joins.

If you believe a minor under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately at campusbudgetapp@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Who can see your data

Within a family account:

No one outside your family can see your data. Other Campus Wallet users cannot access your account.

Our infrastructure partners: We use Firebase (Google) to store data and handle authentication, and Resend to send emails. Both are reputable services with strong privacy practices. We don't share your data with them beyond what's necessary to operate the app.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase, hosted in the United States. Firebase uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We use Firebase Authentication for secure login — we never store plain-text passwords.

We're a small team and we take security seriously. If you ever discover a security issue, please let us know at campusbudgetapp@gmail.com.

Your rights

You can:

Cookies and tracking

We use Firebase Analytics, which uses cookies to understand basic usage patterns — things like which screens people visit most. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Campus Wallet does not display ads.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll notify you by email and update the date at the top of this page. We won't make changes that reduce your privacy rights without letting you know first.
